Prague Marathon beginners guide
In the month of May every year, runners from around the world gather in the city of Prague to run in the Prague International Marathon (PIM). This marathon began in the year 1995 and in just over the decade, it has gone on to establish itself as one of the most popular marathons in Europe..
Statistics show that Prague International Marathon has more participants from foreign countries than it 
has local participants, with over two thirds of the runners coming in from over 50 countries from around the world. It is easily one of the most significant marathons in Europe, along with the London, Paris and Berlin marathons.
The course of Prague Marathon is considered to be the most beautiful marathon course in the world. It is also a very fast race and is generally rated as one of the top 10 fastest marathon courses. Apart from the main Marathon, there is also the Family Mini-marathon, which is run over a course of 4.2 kilometres, an 2Km Eco Walk and a 6.5km Inline Party. There are also various corporate events including a relay and a team marathon.
