Summer in Prague

Why I Love Living in Prague, Czech - (Expats in Prague)

Living in Prague as an Expat

Prague is a romantic and beautiful city and set on the banks of a river with several bridges, this ciity is still trying to shake off the last effects of Communisn. And it is definitely progressing. I could easily settle down in Prague on a permanent basis because I enjoy the culture of Prague and the people ate very friendly and this city combines the capital city style benefits with a city which is not too big. The locals are warm and hospitable and will be more than happy to help you find your way around, giving Living in Pragueyou directions and tips to survive in the city - which might be especially handy in your first few weeks here.

I love Prague in fact for many of the same reasons that many expats do, truth be told. World-class beer, cheap and what I consider great food (although not all expats liek the food here) and safe transportation. Living in Prague is less expensive than living in some of the large cities of the world and getting around is genrally pretty easy and you can travel to any place in the Czech Republic on a pass.

Other benefits here in Prague as an expat:

Apart from the aforementioned public transportation, you can also easily get around on foot or bicycle because Prague is a small city. Walking is also more than possible in the centre. If you plan to stay long term, buying a house is not really any harder than one would experience in other European countries and prices are reasonable. You can learn more about buying property in Prague from the real estates in Prague.

If you are an ex-pat in Prague with children, you might also want to read about the International School of Prague, if you want them to study in an English school and one which is well respected.
